The Airwaves of Lincoln
[UPDATE 9/25: If you want to hear the interview, follow this link to the WILL archive for the week of Sept. 19, 2005. You can find me conveniently filed under Thursday.]
I’ve got another radio interview coming up, this one on WILL-AM, Illinois public radio. I’ll be on a show called Focus 580 this Thursday morning, September 15, 2005, at 11 AM Central Time. We’ll start by discussing Digital Phoenix and then see where the conversation goes. Digital Copyrights? Antitrust? Offshoring? The tech sector? Who knows. It all seems to be fair game. Stay tuned. . .
[NEW! Rescheduled for 9/22. See information below]
[UPDATE 9/13: It appears that I will be preempted by WILL’s coverage of the John Roberts confirmation hearings. I will be heard, instead, on some other date. Stay tuned!]
[UPDATE 9/16: I’ve been rescheduled for 9/22. Here’s some information from the folks at WILL-AM:
Our signal does reach Chicago, Indianapolis, further east and some parts of
Wisconsin--whether you can hear WILL at AM580 (the bottom of the AM dial) in
Chicago depends on the weather, the time of the day, building location and
radio--e.g. in our new vehicle I can hear the signal when driving in
Chicago, I couldn’t hear WILL in our old car. The most reliable location is
the internet.
We do live streaming on our website--the url is at the bottom of my email
(will.uiuc.edu)--when you go to that url click on “listen” and then on real
audio, windows or QuickTime to listen in real time anytime and in your case
at 12:06 PM ET.
Our interviews are also found on the archives. To find an archive interview
click on listen, scroll down to “archives streaming”, click on Focus580,
click on the week of the appropriate date of the interview. The archives are
usually posted later in the day of the interview.
